All The Opportunity Fuss......  And it's a big DEAL!
The winner of the contest will be awarded a book publishing contract by Hampton Roads Publishing and a $50,000 promotional package.  The competition consists of four rounds to narrow down hundreds of authors to the four finalists and 1 winner. 

Round 1: March 29 - May 3, 2010

In this round each author will upload an audio or video "pitch" of their book.  This is the opportunity for me to show my passion for my books message.  This is where I have to get everyone excited about my book through my pitch.  I want to hear your input!  Watch my video and leave a message about what you think. 

There are two voting aspects to this first round - popular vote and author vote.  In this round I need EVERYONE'S support by voting for me but also INVITING others to watch my video pitch and vote for me.  This vote is important for it makes up 75% of the voting in round 1.  Humbly, I thank you for making my intentions a reality!

The remaining 25% of the votes come from one of my peers, another author in the competition.  Each author will be required to submit an honest assessment of a fellow author that's assigned to the author.  These answers will generate a score for the author and will be figured into the overall round 1 results.

Round 2: May 4 - June 28, 2010

In this round 250 authors with the highest votes and score from fellow authors will work on writing and submitting a book proposal, marketing plan, and first chapter of book.  All authors in the competition will learn from experts on how to sell a publisher their book "concept or idea" through a book proposal and make it feel less "risky" to publish the book.

Round 2 will account for 50% of the votes coming from a panel of experts reviewing the book proposal, marketing plan, and chapter one of the book. 25% of the votes will come for outside voters when authors are required to reach out to everyone for voting support. Kandi Phillips has arranged for gifts to all voters through Awaken Your Space. (Gifts are still available when you sign up for our newsletter!)

Round 3: June 29 - August 24, 2010

In this round 25 authors will submit two complete chapters that will be in the hands of the publisher, agents, authors, and other experts that will review and choose four final authors.

Round 4: August 25 - October 19, 2010

In this round 4 authors will submit three chapters and detailed outline of book.  The book will be reviewed by thousands of people from all over the world and by a panel of experts in the publishing, writing, and marketing world.  All four authors will be rewarded with a marketing support package and in getting their books published by a publisher.

In this round four authors will write one more chapter and then write a detailed outline of the rest of the book.  Without revealing any special secrets of the book but at the same time providing enough information for people to be excited and ready to read the book. The idea is presented on how this book will unfold and change our lives.

One winner will be guaranteed a contract from one of the leading spiritual publishers - Hampton Roads.
